Intermediate SQL DBA

Location: Hybrid | Calgary

Job Overview:

Nua’s Calgary based client is seeking an experienced Intermediate SQL DBA to join their growing data team. This role will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and performance of the client’s SQL Server databases, along with learning and developing skill sets in other platforms such as Snowflake and MongoDB.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, monitor and maintain SWL Server databases

• Support backup and recovery, database replication and access managment

• Support the team with the implementation of database strategies

• Assist with regular performance tuning and troubleshooting

• Support SSIS, SSAS and SSRS environments

• Work closely with other teams to meet company goals

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related

• Experience: At least 3+ years of experience as a SQL DBA

• Skills:

  • Hands on experience with SSIS, SSRS and SSAS

  • Hands on experience supporting a SQL Server environment

  • Exposure to cloud based database solutions such as AWS
