Contract Business Analyst

Nua’s Calgary based client is looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our client’s team and bridge the gap between technology and business needs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on understanding complex systems, translating requirements, and ensuring successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.

• Translate business needs into clear and concise functional specifications and user stories.

• Analyze existing systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

• Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals.

• Participate in testing activities to ensure requirements are met and functionality aligns with expectations.

• Support change management efforts and training initiatives as needed.

Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years as an IT Business Analyst in software or system development environments.

• Very strong business mapping, requirement gathering and documentation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work diplomatically with all business stakeholders and teams

• Understanding of software development life cycles (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).

• Experience with training and some exposure to OCM best practices.
