Job Overview:

Nua’s Calgary based client is seeking an experienced Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist to lead and support the development and implementation of strategies that help to navigate and manage changes in a smooth and efficient manner. This role will require the candidate to work closely with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and leadership, to facilitate the adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement change management strategies: Create customized plans that address the specific needs of each change initiative, ensuring the organization effectively adapts to changes in systems, processes, or culture.

  • Stakeholder engagement and communication: Identify key stakeholders and ensure they are informed, engaged, and supported throughout the change process. Provide regular updates to leadership and teams about change initiatives.

  • Assess change readiness: Conduct assessments to evaluate organizational readiness and identify potential risks and barriers to change. Recommend strategies to mitigate resistance and enhance buy-in.

  • Training and support: Design and deliver training materials and sessions to support employees in adapting to new systems, processes, or organizational structures. Ensure employees have the tools and resources they need to succeed.

  • Change impact analysis: Analyze the impact of change initiatives on different parts of the organization, identifying areas that may need additional attention or support.

  • Monitor and report on progress: Track and measure the effectiveness of change management initiatives and interventions. Provide regular reports and feedback to leadership on progress, challenges, and outcomes.

  • Support leadership and managers: Partner with leadership and managers to help them effectively manage their teams through change, providing them with the tools, guidance, and support needed to be change champions.

  • Continuous improvement: Stay updated on the latest OCM methodologies, tools, and best practices, and propose ways to improve change management processes within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field. Certification in Organizational Change Management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is preferred.

  • Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in change management, organizational development, or a related field. Experience with large-scale transformations is highly desirable.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

    • Ability to analyze complex situations and provide strategic solutions.

    • Proven track record of successfully implementing change management strategies in a corporate environment.

    • Experience with project management and a deep understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter).

    • Familiarity with digital transformation and change in technology environments is a plus.
