Senior BSA – Dynamics 365 F&O (Contract)

Position Summary

The Senior BSA (Techno-Functional) serves as a bridge between Finance, Sales, Operations, and IT to deliver business outcomes across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), Dynamics 365 Sales, and Prophix budgeting/forecasting. This role leads requirements discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, and implementation support, ensuring end-to-end process alignment, strong controls, and high user adoption. The position partners with stakeholders to improve business processes, integrate enterprise systems, and drive data quality, reporting, and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of business analysis and techno-functional solutions across D365 F&O, D365 Sales, and Prophix, from discovery through hyper care.

• Facilitate workshops to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.

• Translate business needs into fit-gap analysis and solution designs leveraging standard product capabilities; recommend configuration vs. extension vs. integration.

• Configure application functionality (where appropriate), define system behaviors, and partner with developers/architects on customizations and integrations.

• Own testing strategy and execution (SIT/UAT), including test plans, scripts, defect triage, and release readiness; support regression testing for monthly/quarterly releases.

• Support change management: training needs analysis, training materials, user enablement, communications, and adoption measurement.

• Drive data quality and governance: master data definitions, validation rules, controls, and reconciliation between source systems and downstream reporting.

• Partner with security/compliance stakeholders to ensure appropriate segregation of duties (SoD), auditability, and financial controls within business processes.

• Provide production support, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement; prioritize enhancements with business owners and manage backlog.

• Create and maintain documentation: process flows, configuration workbooks, integration mappings, decision logs, and support runbooks.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in product ownership / techno-functional roles supporting enterprise applications.

• Hands-on techno-functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations including requirements, configuration, testing, and support.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM) including process design, configuration, and user adoption.

• Prophix experience (administrator, modeler, or power user) supporting budgeting/forecasting and reporting processes.

• Strong understanding of core finance concepts (GL structure, period close, AP/AR, fixed assets) and how operational processes impact financial results.

• Demonstrated experience integrating systems and working with data (interfaces, imports/exports, mappings, reconciliation, data quality controls).

• Strong documentation and facilitation skills; able to lead workshops with executives and frontline users.

• Experience owning testing activities (SIT/UAT), defect management, and go-live readiness.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
